Hi,
In most cases google will set your ad live straight away (although to start with i believe it is only shown on the google network until it has been reveiwed - eg it wont show on the google search partner sites or the content network at first). I think there are some exceptions where google will not show your ad until it has been reveiwed but i believe this is when ad content could potentially breach the adwords rules eg potential trademark issues and alcohol related content etc).Ok got an ad campaign going live, do google check my listing before they show it on search engines.
Not having used CJ before i wouldnt know this for sure but would expect they would have information on merchancts PPC restrictions.I am using a CJ merchant but not sure what their PPC rules are
In my opinion it is definatley worth checking what restrictions are in place asap so as not to get stung later on if you find out that your are breaching them in some way.
Hope that helps.

If you are not sure if you have composed your ads correctly, just keep an eye on your account as you will soon see if Google has disapproved any of your ads.
If you have a lot of adgroups running just go to tools > Disapproved Ads and you will see if you have any problems.
Hope this helps.Email : aldo@scusimedia.com

$49 gets you Perry Marshall's guide to AdWords.
http://www.perrymarshall.com/google/actionform.htm
Worth getting. It's around 200 pages of in depth advice and tips on AdWords.
Certainly a beginners guide but certainly a good guide and at £25 (ish), it's not that expensive.
You can pay via PayPal too.
Hope that helps.

You can check the individual CJ merchants rules on PPC by looking at their ad-profiles.

Save your $49, that Perry Marshall crap is out dated and wasn't original when it was written. You're better off reading through the adwords help center. There is no magic pill, all you can do is test, test and then test some more until you hit on what works.

I beg to differ. From experience, it is very well suited to beginners of PPC.
Plus, anything that is written about the Interweb or computers is outdated the moment it is published. I'm sure there's some law to state this.
If not, I've just made it up. My law states anything that is written about the Interweb or computers is outdated the moment it is published.
I'm going to calm down now and take my genius hat off.
