Affiliate Help needed

hello all,

Just wondered if anyone could help me out here. i am really new to all this affiliate business and dont really know much. i signed up with the amazon affiliate programme and registered a domain which i think has great potential. the website has only been open a couple of days now and i am getting hits but no sales yet.

if you could check out the website @ http://www.HD-BOX.NET and tell me anything that i can do to improve it. any suggestions at all will help.

also could anyone point me in the right direction on as to advertise this site. it the best way to do PPC? or is there other methods?

1 more thing. whats the best affiliate programme for me to sign up for if i am a begginner. i really want to make something out of this business and i wont stop until it happens. maybe in a couple of months i would like to go full time if i can learn enough from you kind people here at affiliates4u.

i also think that this site is fantastic, everyone just helps everyone out! I LOVE IT!

Not a bad looking a-store, but it's still just an a-store. They tend to work best when used along side an existing source of traffic - ie used as the "shop" for a busy website. On their own they don't fare that well because there are so many of them, plus amazon is everywhere so a lot of tracking cookies get overwritten, especially for high value purchases where the customer does a lot of research.
A while ago someone (I think it was pagerank10) posted a way to better integrate the amazon a-store into your own domain name - it might be worth trying that, and also adding your own unique content - why do we need HD, stuff like that.
