I work in Shecy Pearls, it is an very professional pearl jewelry supplier. All our products are pearl jewelry. So we are really doing a niche market.

Here is my biggest problem during my recruiting new affiliates of our program.
At the very beginning, I targeted websites about Jewelry and Fashion. And tried to find them with search engines like google, yahoo, dogpile....But I got a huge number of websites about jewelry and fashion, I just can't tell which one is affiliates, which one is merchant. There are also many jewelry directories, my links will almost be merged by the hundreds and thousands of diamond jewelry stores the second I joined.

What kinds of websites should I target now? How to find the super affiliates?

it would be high appreciated for any clues for me.

    Hi ,

You can try to look more specifically for sites promoting Chinese jewelry perhaps.

You can find some of the "super affiliates", by posting on this board, and similar ones in the US and Europe. However, many of the professionnal affiliates will prefer to work with an affiliate network than rather than an independent affiliate scheme. A network *may* also help you with recruiting the right affiliates. (Depends very much on the network).

Actually now I think of it, we also have problems getting Jewelry affilaites to promote us. Most of our Yesstyle affiliates will promote the clothing items, but not our jewelry...

The best way, as you say is search engines (well to find content based sites anyway). If the site has a shopping cart or can take orders then its merchant, if the majority of links go off site then its an affiliate, OR an affiliate that doesnt know it yet

A super affiliate for your programme may not be a super affiliate for another, contentrate on building up a good affiliate base, make the offering good, talk with the site owners see what they want.

Content is king for affiliates, communication is key for affiliate managers

Have you thought about joining a network?

That would be the simple answer, as although you will be paying the network fees, it is generally more than worth it for the affiliate recruitment that occurs (with good networks at least).
