    Hi,

I just wondered whether anyone had experience of using Google Analytics to track purchases made through an Amazon AStore or Direct Link?

I have tried setting up a conversion goal funnel - specifying the first part of the amazon url people will get to when they make a purchase, but so far I've had no luck.

If anyone has tried this before and found a solution I'd love to know!

    Thanks again.

    Helen

What match type are you using?

If you have dynamic data at the end of the url, you need to put in the part of the url that doesn't change and then use "head match" to match the url, rather than "exact match", where the url has to exactly match the url specified including all dynamic data.

    Hi,

I had it set to 'head type', but since I was just experimenting in the first place to see if I could make it work, I came to the conclusion that maybe I couldn't do it like that.

Have you managed it - if so I'll go back and give it another go!

Not sure if its working yet

You reminded me that I hadn't set it up yet. I`ve done it, so ill let you know later if it works or not.

Regular expressions should definately work, but are more complex to write.

Whats the url format that you want to track?

Hi - I use Analytics to track all sorts. If you have any problems, contact Analytics Help Team. They respond real quick and are very very helpful!

    Hi Tom,

Spoke to Google yesterday, but they just told me to go and look at their help documents - which I have already done.

I still think there must be a way to do this - so I'm off to 'Google it' in the hopes of finding an answer!

    Thanks for your help

    Helen
