We have been planning, developing and designing a new portal which will replace the vBulletin powered forum by the end of Q1 2007. Creating a more educationally and networking focussed site, the forum will of course remain but we will have a greater emphasis on blogs and editorial to stimulate debate and quality.
As valued members this is your opportunity to indicate what features you would like in the new portal. We will implement your feedback where possible and look forward to your thoughts and ideas.
Many thanks in advance,
Matthew

Hi Matt,
Sounds like you might already be working on my suggestion but as an avid blog reader and part time blogger I’m finding it seriously hard to maintain an ever growing list of feeds. The numerous blog aggregators and mash ups that are springing up are a great help but I feel that none of them have quite got it right.
Bumpzee by Jangro is by far the best IMO but still in very early stages and obviously very US centric. With the effort that goes into the design of your projects I’m sure something of this nature would be a great success and make the whole a4u project into some kind of uber affiliate destination. I know I’d have that set as my homepage.
Cheers
Paul.

Got to agree with Paul on this - Bumpzee is by far one of my most visited sites and if you could replicate some of the features (such as the way the discussion works based on blogs, rather than posts) that would be neat.
Having a guide for new potential affiliates would be good too - lots of people come on the forum and are told "Search back though the forums and you will find everything you need" - maybe if it was put in one place it would help people out.
I was toying with the idea of putting together a contact list (similar to the AIM Affilate list they have in the states) so if the profile stuff your working on is easily searchable (maybe a breakdown by company) with good contact details (including IM please) it would be v. good.
After our chat the other day about this project i'm really looking forward to seeing how it develops.
