With most networks it seems possible to include a tracking code. I am buying traffic from 9 different sources and sending them all to the same page (content wise). Users then click through on Affiliate Future links. In order to identify the ROI from the 9 different sources, I have had to set up 9 different landing pages, each with a different tracking code. This means that when I want to make a modification to the page, I have to do it on 9 pages!

Is there any way of passing the tracking code in the URL so that the link then uses this as the tracking code. For example www.url.co.uk/page.html?tracking="trackingcode" and this changes all affilate links on the page which contains $trackingcode or something like that to have the tracking code link?

I've looked around this forum and done a few searches, but I can't find it.

Your help is very much appreciated.

yeah - it's easy with aff future

in your url have www.url.co.uk/page.html?tracking=trackingcode (don't put any quotes around the tracking code and it's easiest if you avoid spaces too)

then in your affiliate future urls, look for the bit that says tracking= and assuming you are using php echo $trackingcode after the tracking= bit - I've tried to put the sample code here but the forum is interpreting the php!
    Code:
    <?php echo $trackingcode; ?>

Hi - am am still having problems integrating this.

In the link I have the code:

    http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=xxxx&merchantID=xxxx&progr ammeID=xxxx&mediaID=0&tracking=$track&url=

And in the URL I have http://www.url.co.uk/page.php?track=thetrackingcode

Any idea where I've gone wrong?

    Thanks.

    you need to put

    < ? php echo $track ? >

    where you have $track

but without the spaces between the < ? and the ? >

Sorry to bump a year old post, but I've just noticed something really wierd. I have a tracking link for affiliate future which has &tracking=< ? echo $tracking ? > and the page is passed ?tracking=

I know this WAS working. I haven't changed anything on the page, but now its saying

    Code:
Notice: Undefined variable: tracking in <the page> on line 29
    even though it IS defined.

I copied and pasted the file onto another site with the same hosting company and it worked fine. 48 hours later, the new page started doing the same thing. This makes no sense to me at all.

    Any ideas?
