Do you use google/yahoo's own conversion tracking software or do you use a 3rd party, which is best, any recommendations.

Im not keen on googles, does it work ok?

Im after a conversion tracking software that doesnt require a lot of work coding wise.

Also do all conversion tracking software require you to put a line of code on each keyword or can you just put code into the confirmation page of your site during the order process.

    Thanks.

Good question, I'm interested in hearing people's return on this topic.

Personally I've tried Google Adwords conversion tool and I do admit it is pretty convenient to see the conversion rates directly online whilst editing your bid price for example.

Speaking about Google I've come to beleive that you can track conversion rates for Google but also other campaigns (Emailing etc.) via Google Analytics (Google.com/analytics) mind you I haven't had the chance to test this out...

If you're looking for a high end product I would without a doubt invite you to check out TradeDoubler's Media Toolbox (http://www.tradedoubler.com/pan/cms/...vr_td_toolbox), i'll be testing this out in the weeks to come, it looks promising, anyone used it ?

    Hi,

I find indextools is very good for tracking/trends etc and they have developed a new bid management tool to take on Atlas, it is not ready until quarter 4, but quite a few top PPC companies are currently testing it with positive feedback.

If you want a more automated PPC campaign use Atlas, but with more human imput the new tool from indextools is ideal, and becuase they have been in the market far longer, they have better history and trend info.

You could also look at iSeba, but I have no history with that product.

I'm not sure what the costs are like.

    Cheers Tom
