New Challenge: £5,000 in a month doing ppc

Well as you all know I failed at my last challenge. I have left it running on auto-pilot as it does produce a postive roi, which is all that really matters. But I want to redeem myself if I may!

The snow is melting, so no snowmachine for me. Instead, I have found that 4x4 atvs are a wonderful thing. So, for this challenge, I'll need to raise £5,000 in a month so I can buy a nice big 4x4 atv for me to play in the mud with. (£5,000 is net profit after all expenses, not gross.)

This time, I am going to promote something which is a bit more in my comfort zone. I will be tackling the wonderful world of debt management advice. Currently I don't do business in this area, but do operate in the finance world, so I think I can actually achieve this one. Plus I will be using a network that I know very well. I will do all ppc on adwords, overture and msn adcenter for this.

I bought a url for this awhile back, but never really touched it since. So, let the fun begin!

Here's a challenge for you, £5k in a week pushing flowersdirect . You've got the customers, it's the busiest week ever, as it's the run up to Mother's Day, we've got the flowers and I promise we have affiliates who do do this so it is not impossible.

Weirdly, two years ago to the day I did 5k in a week with Flowers Direct. It was great.

Tom, I will put that on my list of merchants to try in the future. However, I'm not sure I could hit that mark that quickly with flowers. (I actually think I signed up for flowersdirect some time ago because I get emails from them.)

I am going to do this one with a new domain name and a new website too. No direct to merchant because I will collecting all data on my own form, then submitting that info to the merchant. As soon as the website is ready, i will start. I'm thining a day or two here max.

Mother's Day week, £5k really isn't out of the norm on our programme, generate £26684.21 (650 orders) and your there, no problem for some of you superaffiliates. You'd be suprised at the names that pop up on our order system!

Are you assuming that it cost nothing to generate the sales? Not sure how you can calculate the sales volume required to net £5k, but I'm guessing it could easily be twice that.

It was just a quick illustration showing the achievable commission, it would be impossible for me to say how much this might cost to achieve, sorry should have made myself more clear.

That is if you can compare finance ppc costs and volumes with flowers, which you can't.

There is also a massive difference between debt management leads and IVA leads, which carry the £75 price. However I agree debt management, then defaulting to unsecured loans if they don't fit, would make perfect sense.

So with high PPC costs in the finance industry, what is the likely spend to generate 5K profit, I know it depends on the conversion rate but what would an estimate be (10-20K)?

Our average students achieve around 250% ROI, so to achieve £5k margin would cost around £2k. Of course, we will all know how beejeebers shapes up in time, so let's just see.

Our Debt Management offers, which include IVA's, are as follows..

Debts over £15k, min 3 creditors, min £1k monthly income, England and Wales Residents only = £75 per lead
Debts over £15k, min 3 creditors, min £1k monthly income, Scotland and Northern Ireland Residents only = £30 per lead
Debts over £5k, no income restrictions, residents of anywhere in UK = £20 per lead.

So the poster above was right, not all leads will qualify for the £75 payout.

Just noticed that you will be collecting the data through your own form, then passing it on to the merchant. There will be CCL issues here, beejeebers you may have a license to act as a broker, however other affiliates who follow your lead, will need to make sure all leads are collected by a licensed broker, or direct with the merchant.
