Very important to start with a market you know, but equally important to diversify into other markets as time goes on.
eggs - baskets and all that.
Hi everyone,
I was curious to know from all you guys doing this full-time for yourselves.
Do you focus on just one particular market (e.g. gambling) or do you explore many different markets to make your money (e.g. gambling & gadgets & fragrances & loads more good programs you see)?
This may sound like a silly question, but i would like to know for sure. This is for people making a full time income with PPC, nit just as a hobby.
Look forwards to some honest replies soon. Not expecting you to reveal what you promote, just want to knowif you stick to one particular market or promote many different things from different markets.
Thanks.

First built a healthy cash flow from one market you know, then explore others.
Hi,
...Or in other words it is not putting all your money into just one type of investment. Remember that All investments are subject to some level of risk and for sure some more than others.
We know that different types of investments perform much better under different market conditions.
You always have to consider what is affecting or could affect specific markets on and of course always make a proper research (never act by impulse) .
If you invest (time, resources...) in more than one type of investment (finance, property, travel...) you diversify, which can help reduce the risk for your overall investment portfolio. The more ways you diversify the more likely you are to reduce your risk(s).
Let's imagine that you had all your money and 'hope'in just one investment and that investment didn't perform - you would make a loss and maybe go mad!.
But, if you spread your money across different types of investments you are going to have a better chance of including some investments that will perform.
Good luck![]()

Hi Jamie, we diversify across a number of industries - but started out just in one ( gambling as it happens!! ).
Once we had built up some capital from that, we started to diversify and spread the risk.
All the best,
Alf
I will focus on one market for the beginning, after I make enough capital,I will consider to explore many other markets.

Yes well i will start in one market and when i make enough i will diversify into many.
The thing i need to know is should i set up my own website then?
I will be using PPC. Should i set up a website to collect leads and pass them on to merchants? If i am promoting travel would i have my own site?
OR should i direct link to the merchant OR have my own site but redirect that site to my affiliate link just so i dont have to compete with the URL or break any rules regarding URL in Adwords?
Basically when should i have my own site and when should i just direct them to the merchant through my affiliate link and what should i put as the display URL when sending direct through my affiliate link to the merchant?
Hope someone can help explain this and clear it up for me.
Thanks.

You can set up your own website, your own blog or your own social media page

If you are using PPC, I would advice you to follow Perry Marshall's advice plus you should start learning some SEO a good site is http://www.seochat.com/ or google SEO BOOK....
OR should i direct link to the merchant
You could
OR have my own site but redirect that site to my affiliate link just so i dont have to compete with the URL or break any rules regarding URL in Adwords?
You could, but read the rules first to avoid breaking them...

You have a lot of options here, it depends of the type of merchant that you are trying to promote and how competitive is the vertical... instead of using a direct affiliate link use a 'redirect' link so it will look like your links are from your website... that's well known!
Hope someone can help explain this and clear it up for me.
