Re: Number 1 on Google in 36 hours

    Ah phooey!

I made some minor changes to my code yesterday to optimise for a slightly different niche phrase, as a result i have dropped two places on Google

    The challenge begins again

    Morning Stu,

I looked at it this morning as well and noticed this (at about 6am) and did wonder why it had dropped. It will also be hard to tell how much traffic is genuine to your site at the moment as well as alot of people from here will be watching it lol

If something works then don't change it is my philosophy. I will be dropping by on your blog in a bit also so watch out :-)

Sorry Stu, just a quick one

With these niche phrases / sites etc, do you think that a good page ranking (PR5) will increase your chances further of higher rankings also ?

I've just had a quick look at the site via google and its at number 2 and because I am a sceptic followed up with overture's keyword tool. overture gives me a figure of 57 searches a month for the phrase contemporary vase. its a very niche niche. google does about 3 and 5 times ovature's figures so thats between 180and 300 searches a month.

as a test its not fair to compare it with larger niches where competition is fierce among competing affiliate sites. and my question is do people actually click on such sites as this and if they do...do they purchase from the afffiliates?

That's fine that you are a sceptic Debs, i never tried to convince people otherwise. I personally don't use Overtures search tool. I also believe a niche is a niche. I never tested it against anything.

My blog states it is a throwaway test.

If you wonder if people click on affiliate sites at all, why are you in an affiliate forum? Surely you have answered your own question simply by being here?

My site gives people what they want, information on where to buy a contemporary vase.

For one last time i will repeat myself - I was posting about how FAST i got listed, you take ANY niche, small as you like, and try and get listed on Google within 9 hours...

I'll get my arse out in Tescos window, not saying which one though

    Heres the deal.

When i listed on Grrrr!oogle, it was so fresh it had the exact day i went live - 25th april, on the actual listing.

It was the Grrrr!oogle UK search results

it was a 2 word domain name and top 3 ranked in 24 hours. Yours must be no longer than two words.

If anyone beats me this week i will give you a free website, optimised for a niche of your choice.

    Starting..............now!! (BANG!)
