Wunderlust1 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
  Forums

Hi,

I have recently changed tack and decided that forums are the way to go with affiliate marketing  ....I have in the past and continue with some successful forums that do really well in getting registered visitors, the last forum I started was well over a year ago, however with my two new forums I am finding it really difficult in attracting the visitors needed to kick start them properly..

The forums are

www.walkaboutoz.com and www.bushmechanics.com.au

Therefore the question would be - how can this be done effectively and get traffic to them?

lufc is an unknown quantity at this point
  Re: Forums

try adding them to forum directory (see sig ) and joining similar forums with a link to your site in your sig (if allowed). Dont just do spammy posts but if you can show that you know what you are on about people will want to join your forum.

DioBach seems to know their stuff
  Re: Forums

You could also throw a few quid into paid posters - no one likes signing up at a forum with only a few posts and members on them. They need to look active to encourage new members. I've used inb0x.com several times in the past, theirs is one of the best of the paid posting services I've used (and there are some dogs out there) - just think of it as buying content.

  Re: Forums

Hi Ho

I have used a few paid posting companies some good some pants.

The best to date without a doubt have been http://www.forumsfirst.com

The worst I have used has been http://www.forumboost.net - they were like poorly trained apes

There is nothing wrong in my mind using paid content - getting a forum started these days naturally is nigh on impossible
