It looks good but it will take a bit of time to get used to it.
Evening, thanks for all the positive feedback.
Just to quickly answer a few questions;
Session period should be no problem we can certainly extend this in the morning.
Regarding the 20 or so latest posts, we did have this as part of the site, but temporarily removed it whilst we were investigtating server speed issues, I can see no reason why we can't put this back on in the morning, as I agree it was very useful, and was designed to be included!
Nadeem, I'll speak to our designer to see what we can do about the aqua headers.
Don't forget you can also 'subscribe' to tags on blogs and articles so you don't miss out, i.e
http://www.affiliates4u.com/feeds/tags/affiliates4u/
Click 'email subscribe' and we'll email you every time, you can manage subscriptions with the settings in 'my profile'
We'll work on a tutorial soon, I guess the best way is to have a play and navigate around!
It looks good but it will take a bit of time to get used to it.
Excellent stuff at a first glance, this is the first thread I have read though, so its time to have a quick look around
Well done.
Well done guys!
The new site design is superb.
Was a bit slow this afternoon and a couple of database errors came up but seems to have been sorted now.

I absolutely love it!
Has a web 2.0 look!
Like others suggested, its going to take a while to get used to as theres so much going on.
Get rid of the tags feature? It takes up A LOT of space.
All of the info below the forum topics... seems like info overkill, I don't think its beneficial showing it to forum users ever time they go to a new forum topic, will also save a little bit of bandwidth.
I suppose the .com means a more USA related discussion? (no problem with that at all, just wondering!)
hehe, well the font sizes were not designed to be THAT big! - I'm not entirely sure what algo we have on it at the moment either; will check in the morning.
I think its a useful feature though, but agree we need to trim the largest font size down and also the number of tags we display!
Is this BETTER or BETA?
One thing that threw me initially was that on the A4U Homepage, I tried to login in using the boxes on the top right but was constantly turned away. However, when I went to the forums section I was allowed in.
Are there different types of accounts now Matt or should my Forums login work from any page in any section?
I compare this to Windows Vista, XP or anything else that gets updated. Its horrible letting go of something when you know it inside out, but given time I am sure we will all start noticing and enjoying the improvements.
Congrats on the launch, obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into it. I just need to track down the manual
Also... in the old design, while browsing the thread, you could see the person who made the post and immediately see if they were on or offline. Is there similar in this design that maybe I just cant find?
It's the little orange icon beside the username Chris - if it's orange then they are online, if it's grey then they are offline.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
Your login will work on the main homepage (it's case sensitive for both your username and pass) or in the forum - I'll get this checked out tomoz.
re who's online, this is shown on the bottom of the main forum homepage, and Keith rightly says its by the colour of the arrowed icon

Matthew
was bit slow earlier but now seems ok, liking some of the new features, as many said will take time to get used too.
Love the communities bit and to add more indepth info on our profiles
I think I like this!!
But it will take a while, but then so did the last one to find all the buttons that ya click to find the posts, noticed a couple of things, the session time, which you have under control and also this could be my browser specific but the top JavaScript menu appears behind the top banner ad.
But a great job to keep seeing A4U taking the next steps to domination!
Nice spot Ste, that is odd. Seems to be with the flash banners - I'll pass this on to tech.. looks like it could be either really easy to sort, or a right pain in the royal!
Just spent two hours on here now its fleshed out. I have to say its quite the best thing I've seen in ages, once the community aspects get sufficient take up - this will be a monster success.
Really, really great work guys - bravo
