morleymouse you can create a site giving away a freebie to the first 1000 signups and the offer ends in 30 days time.

Then add the cookie bomb on the signup page and then post the offer in popular forums and blogs, you will get 100,000+ visitors each getting a cookie bomb

How many of the 100k visitors shop at one of the shops in the cookie bomb if you get 1% thats 1000 orders you get commission for in 30 days then give another 1000 freebies the next month and so on

Yeah man it's naughty, naughty, naughty.
Imagine if someone visited my site and it automatically overwrote all the cookies which you had worked hard to get onto that persons machine. It's what a lot of spyware and "shopping assistants" do, though they seem to have died down a bit recently.

Networks do have ways of detecting such activity but I don't think (and indeed hope) any of them will reveal how they detect it on a public forum - that really would be feeding too many inquisitive minds...

Thankfully I'm sure you're joking. On a side not although Keith is right, does this apply to some of the smaller networks that are emerging - I doubt it. Certainly the top ten should have something like this in place but its one of the reasons that I would b reticent placing a merchant on a new inexperienced network.
