Paid Ad Inventory & Expectations
Alright,
I'd like some advice on ad inventory, costings and realising expectations please. I'd like to hear from anyone involved at an agency or an affiliate that accepts paid ad inventory who can provide a realistic status on current rates and possible growth in the forseeable future.
I'm due to negotiate a contract this summer with a big corporation who think they've bought a web property as part of a package but in reality, they haven't, have decided to treat me like muck on their shoe and think they're going to get away with it, so depending on what they offer I'm either going to kick them where it hurts and leave or stick it out another ten years and be lied to and treated like a mug, either way it's decision time. I've said too much already but nevermind.
Is the rate card below an over statement? I'd like average figures on a minimum of 20 million page impressions a month / 240 million a year please. Also any other tips on sponsorship worth and other avenues. I've talked the talk for several years, it's now time to either better myself, go it alone or stick it out and mug myself and negotiate a 'better' rate.
Feel free to contact me on private message or on domaini @ hotmail.co.uk I just need a general view on possibilities and current state of the market and maybe a personal and /or business opinion or two, I have held my own beliefs on this subject matter for a while but need facts to back it up, I can't go to the company and say, I want x more a year without knowing for certain it's being brought in (and I don't think it actually is but... (honesty and being open isn't exactly their forte so who knows.)
