  Dealing With Big Companies

I have a contract with a company which was recently bought by a massive entity, neither the entity nor any of the subsidiary companies talk to me properly, they lie, deceive, fail to reveal the future and basically treat me and others like scum.

Could someone advise please, is the only way to get a reasoned polite response to open up dialogue through a solicitor or is the situation simply doomed to fail? Would I have to sue at the same time? Could I claim that their non-disclosure and failure to communicate is a way of forcing me to leave on my own accord rather than them dispensing with my services as a contractor?

What would I sue for? breach of contract, failing to supply information when requested? it's not exactly the most comprehensive contract ever written, in fact I wouldn't even call it a contract. What can I do to make them talk? Do I just write letters to people at the company and try and figure out who is now responsible because the people I speak to at the moment don't answer in full and don't tell me what's going on.

I used to lose my temper a lot but now I can't even be bothered to do that but surely there's a way of making a company talk, they just ignore all of us. I really can't believe it. Any advice greatly appreciated. The company as some of you will know already, is BskyB (They bought the company I am contracted to). The bigger they get, the more of a b****** they are.

Cheers
Lee

The company who bought the one I'm contracted to, is sky. I have a feeling their life would be much easier if they got everyone to leave on their own.

Without seeing the express terms, the larger company has been assigned to the contract and should honour those terms fully. The bigger problem is with smaller firms tend to have contracts which in practice do not have the standard framwork of a basic contract (standard terms) and you may find that the larger company will exploit these.

What you need to ask is if the contract is worth keeping, if so then press to a solicitor or if not I am pretty sure the larger company would prefer to rip it up.

They've been telling lies and being dishonest for years, 365 group - scum, ukbetting - scum, I can't see sky being any different, they've been around 6 months so far and I've heard very little. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot but I can't see me staying, nearly eight years my loyalty has been raped, either things change or there won't be a ninth. I think I've finally had enough, it feels good to say that.

Cheers

Lee,

It might be good to say but can I give you some advice. Unless you have evidence don't make public claims about lying as you could end up in deep hot water. Edit the post.

You're right I might edit it but not because they're not liars, because they are but because I'm stooping to their level and I'm sober, I just hope everything goes as I envisage, then watch for the biggest internet related story of the year to unfold. Payback time for not paying me enough.
