    Hello,

I've put a wordpress site up and have been writing and submitting articles.

I'm just wondering how SEO friendly wordpress is?

I have a few articles indexed in G but no traffic yet.

Its fairly search engine friendly by default, if you use the nice urls. There are a lot of tweaks you can use though to make it more search engine friendly, just do a search in google, and you`ll find a number of tweaks and plugins documented.

There is a list available of url's you can paste into your admin control panel on wordpress (presuming you have the .org version) which will let hundreds of other blogs know you have updated yours. I was testing out wordpress on a brand new domain just to see what it was all about, and was bringing in very good SEO results within a couple of days, which must have been a result of the linking, as i was just talking complete crap to test it out!

(since realised i'm not a blogging type of person )

    Hi,

If you are serious about it, try the next plugins:

    1. All in one SEO
    2. Sociable
    3. Do follow
    4. Ultimate Tag Warrior
    5. Google Sitemap Generator
    6. Slim Stats (wp-slimstat)
    7. WP-Amazon
    8. Askimet (by default from version 2.0)
    9. Adsense Deluxe
    10. Viper's Video Quicktags
    11. Sticky

    Those are the best ones!

I blogged about a few wordpress bits and pieces to help improve SEO. I'd also recommend Spam Karma2 for spam blocking, 1000x better than Askimet or whatever its called.

Mr Evans now that's a neat list!

Jimbo - when you're around mate could you give me a hand (guidance) with a new blog I'm doing - I think you know it already? I'm in meetings all day Tuesday but if you're around in the evening that'd be great. There's a tax free beer in it for yah ;-)
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.
