I need to add a blog and forums to a website and wondered if anyone can recommend an easy blog script and forums script to use, both will be onsite on the actual website themselves too.

I would say wordpress for the blog, really easy to set up! For the forums, PHPBB is one of the best, and free! Does need a bit of tinkering with though, to improve SEO and also to make it more secure, otherwise it gets spammed to oblivion! There are some good hacks on the new though, and my board has had no spam at all (which is a first for me!).

If you are doing both blog and forum you may want to look at drupal. Nice CMS, good for blogs BUT the forum leaves alot to be desired.

If you are going to do a forum you may want to invest in the fee for vbullitin (which powers this forum)

For the Forum = I always use SMF (simple machines forum) is free and easy to configure.
