Only a Pony - To PPC, to SEO???

I have some experience of Affiliate marketing and only now am I trying to make a go of it.

The Situation

I’ve come across this site on Affiliate Window called “Only a Pony” who has only been up and running for a couple of weeks and sell items at set price ranges, £25, £50, £75 and £100. I thought this was a great site as I really like the idea of the price bands and it would be really good for gifts. Now, when I type there brand name in loads of horse websites came up, and it didn’t help that one was called “Pony Only,” – nice . Then I realised there products are quite generic to a lot of other gift sites but they don’t have the price bands like Only a Pony.

The Dilemma

It looks as though PPC is going to be harder than I thought as the brand name is new and the name relates to other non related sites. So what do I do, PPC or a Website landing page or both, which works better or is there any other tick tacks (tactics)??

Any advice, help or hints would be appreciated.

You will have to go through a landing page as someone is already doing PPC on the brand - and you wont get that off the top - its already been set-up on the maximum click value and you'll find that that particular affiliate rules most brand searches.

I am the account manager for this programme and you can do PPC but it is currently working well for cashback and shopping sites, so if you have any capacity to promote the merchant on this type of site then you should see positive results.
