  RIP Google Analytics (Old Interface)

Looks like the old interface is finally dead now

Got an extra 2 days, as it was supposed to die on the 18th, and I was hoping it would stay longer.

Really don't like the new interface, and having real problems getting my stats out of it as most of it seems to be broken! Many of the many links go straight away to a page saying:

Quote:
An Error Has Been Detected Please try again.

If you are experiencing long delays, please reduce the selected date range or disable date comparison. Thank you for your patience.
I`m only trying to look at my stats for today, so its not like i`m overloading it with data!

Really wish they could have left the old interface up and given you a choice!

I too prefer the new interface, although it did take a while to switch.

Am having trouble at the moment getting in, have had this in the past as well - will go and make a cup of tea and try again in 10...

Re: RIP Google Analytics (Old Interface)

I'm a newbie to analytics so I've only really experienced the new interface. Can anyone recommend good reference tutorials to help me and others here get the most from this version of analytics?

I'm having problems getting in now

Just have to try again later, but I do have to say I prefer the new interface - the old one confused my little brain, I can get my head around the new one

Must say Im getting used to the new interface, and some things it does make a bit easier.

I know it sounds stupid, and doesn't affect the usability, but I hate the graphics, like the traffic source pie chart with its bright garish colors. Used to like the previous 3D pie chart.

One thing that really annoys me is the date selector. I check my stats a couple of times a day, to see whats happening, so I never go back in terms of looking at data. I only ever really look at the current day. Really annoys me that each time I change to a new site I have to bring up the date selector just to select the current day. Would make my life a lot easier if there was a "Today" button I could click just to bring up todays data only.

Just thought actually I`m going to email the analytics team to request this feature, worst they can do is ignore it or say no. And if it gets added, you can all thank me later

Do like the reports linking together though, that does make things a bit easier.
