With a number of affiliates asking for codes on A4U - I was just wondering whether somewhere in the new look A4U there can be an area where an affiliate can put in their wants and somewhere where merchants can search to find potential affiliates?

I'm not that keen on making posts saying "here's my site please can i have this and this..." (and if we all do it, it's not going to be good) so it'd be useful if there was a system that could be devised that could facilitate affiliate & merchant "dating"!

For example, I'm keen on discounts/offers/competitions - but I'm also keen on "green", "eco", "climate change" stuff which encompasses quite a wide area - plus I have other stuff I'd like to develop that perhaps isn't one/two merchant specific - short of trawling every merchant site for products, ideas and/or badgering networks (which is ok, but they're busy and even they can't know every promo for every merchant) - there must be an easy way of sorting something out using A4U's facility? Or is there an alternative.

I guess we can put some things in the profiles, but that's only useful if they're used... the question is can merchants be told "if you go *here* and search *here* you can find a whole host of willing affiliates who want to work with you"? Would networks be happy with that? Would merchants use such a thing?

How can merchants locate affiliates who they may not realise can do stuff with their programs - especially given the limitations of the networks profiling (although Awin and Webgains have made steps in that direction).

I think if people used their profiles a bit more it would help, I've been a bit lax with mone, something I'll fix today
