I was just about to post the same thing. We have Google Checkout as a secondary system thankfully but not impressed with Protx, they've had long enough to prepare for this switchover!
Hi,
Just thought this info may be usefull to affiliates.
If any merchants you promote use ONLY protx for processing credit card details then the orders won't be going through as protx have just done a "upgrade" to their system which has gone T*ts up and they aren't giving a timescale for fixing it.
If Merchants like ourselves also use a secondary payment method (i.e paypal or alternative card processing facility) you should be fine.
Just wanted to let you all know in case you see a drop in sales from certain merchants today.

Is this affecting all payments going through Protx? or just some?
All payments, the whole systems down.
Can't take payments, can't release payments.

sh*t!!!!!!
I'm currently integrating Protx into a ecommerce solution for a client. Just what I need!
Ok if you are intergrating make sure you are using the new submission urls rather than the old ones (plus you need to make sure that verfied by visa and mastercard securcode is implemented)
Won't help with this issue but will need doing for when it's back live

I've had no down time with protx at all this morning that i know of, orders at different times this morning, was it because you've not implimented the url changes etc?
Other than that, anyone else had fun with their 3D secure system? I find that with it on i have more errors from customers, but have it switched off and you can no longer accept maestro!
Guy's they sent this message out several times over the past few weeks; yesterdays below
Dear Sir/Madam,
Tomorrow morning, 1st August, at 6am there will be a short system outage whilst the new version of the Protx VSP Payment system is launched on the Live environment.
As with all Protx upgrades, the maximum outage will be 2 hours (we expect, however, to be able to release the upgrade in a considerably shorter time period). We begin at 6am because settlement files will already have been submitted and transaction volumes are at their lowest from 5 - 8am.
This upgrade has been poorly handled by Protx, and their new templating system is far too complicated. I'm now looking at an alterative payment provider. Anyone got any recommendations? Securetrading are top of my list at the moment.
I've just been informed by one of my merchants that Protx no longer allows them to do a redirect back to their confirmation page - in combination with the fact that Protx don't allow 3rd party tracking on their confirmation, that has resulted in A LOT of swear words coming out of my mouth![]()

I assume you are referring to the custom templates "Custom Templates
Custom templates are now available to download from the techsupport download area.
The new custom templates are XSLT and CSS combinations with no custom Protx fields or non-standard tags. This means that you can build and test the pages on your own machines and see exactly what they will look like before you send them to the support team to upload. The kits come complete with an XSLT renderer, so you have everything you need to test your pages locally.
The great news is that EVERY page can be customised, which means that error pages, customer and vendor emails, the 3D Secure page, even the authorisation screen, can look exactly like your site.
However, you will need to know XSLT, and we cannot help you there. Our support team will ONLY check your pages before uploading, and we CANNOT do your debugging for you. There are plenty of books available on the subject, and your web developers will definitely be able to help you. XSLT is pretty standard these days."
They have for weeks now been advising that the developers read the download guides ready for the changeover.
hmmm.. it seems that i am using an old kit.. which was provided to us by Protx a few weeks ago with no mention of any changes what so ever.
