Just been browsing ebay and came across this
£ 500 OF ARGOS VOUCHERS VALID UNTIL 2010 on eBay, Other Gift Vouchers Coupons, Gift Vouchers Coupons, Tickets Travel (item 300144165273 end time 27-Aug-07 15:10:42 BST)
Ok nothing strange about this as it could have been a wedding present etc, but check out the feedback ? sold £10,000s worth of these in the last month or so !
Does this strike anyone else as odd as to where they could be possibly getting them from ?
Also if (in my opinion) that they are nicked, then they have kept a running diary of how many they have sold and how much money they have made !
Strange !!

Hmm selling large quantities of vouchers below face value does indeed seem a bit dodgy. Why not give them a call - and ask, without them having to give too much away, how they do it - there's a number on the listing, would be interested to hear.
They could be vouchers from a cashback.
Say they have 5 mobile business mobile phones with a 12 month free cashback from mobile shop, they opt instead of cash, which will go back into the card which was registered when taking out the phone, which would be the business card, they opt for vouchers. Mobileshop for example offer ( I think) 110% in vouchers (so instead of £100 cash, you get £110 in vouchers).
So this person gains because its extra cash, not declared, and the buyer will gain.
Try contacting Argos themselves. It may be genuine.
They could just be bulk buying them through Argos Business, and if they buy enough they will have got a good discount:

Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
Or they could be multiple promotional vouchers. We often get people on ebay selling '£100 of Firebox vouchers' when its actually 20 x £5 vouchers. Obviously people often don't find out you can't use them all together until they check with us.

Credit Card Scam!
I was reading a copy of USA Today a few weeks ago that described how credit card fraudsters are stealing CC info, then purchasing hundreds, or thousands of dollars worth of gift vouchers.
Once the credit card is reported stolen, it doesn't matter as the fraudster has purchased gift vouchers that can be sold on ebay or other auction sites for less than face value, but guaranteeing that they make money regardless of when the card is reported as stolen.
Doe that make sense?
