Offering extra incentives?

i've been thinking about adding some extra incentives for ppl to use my site - such as getting extra bits and pieces, like free ebooks, etc etc. but HOW can i track the ppl that go thru my site that complete the sale and those who don't so i know if the person deserves the extra goodies... maybe i can't or would need an SSL as i would be handeling people information?

If they are paying you can normally redirect them to a specific page after they have made the payment, where they could download the freebies.

Ok, so once they've submitted a particular form redirect them to the freebie. If you can script in php or asp.net then you should be able to achieve your aim.
