    Hi Guys,

I highly recommend this guy for web design & banner work.

Check out his website for previous projects including work on the Casino Royale site for Sony.

    1cre8.com

You can email him direct - ian@1cre8.com

    Cheers

    David

Maybe he is a good graphics designer but the errors in his html and javascript would leave me questioning his ability as a web site developer.

After the flash has loaded, what is one meant to do? - I managed to click and get an email address to appear. I assume the rest of the site will appear when the 'under development' sign is removed.

    Yes, you are correct.

He has just started out on his own after working for a large design company & this site is still under development.

Does that mean that his portfolio is actual property of his previous company then and not really his portfolio but theirs? I mean, if he's just started out then Sony, House of Fraser and easyjet are very big fish to catch.

Some of his creativity is very good but he needs to make the download time of the site a lot quicker - I painted the lounge, cut the grass, cooked dinner and watched the Eastenders omnibus while waiting for that intro screen that looks like an 80s Spectrum game to disappear.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

    Hi comrades.
I wish to thank you all for the contibutions you make here in the forum.
They are all indeed valuable from different angles.
I just wanted to make a post to reply to the above subject.
We need to recognise that we are living an a very competitive business world where moving with time can really give us a competitive advantage.
With the tasks involved in building or developing websites, it makes the whole exercise overwhelming if not boring.
I think we need to always look out, research and get our selves more effective and efficient way of doing things.
I believe every body has atleast heard of the "working smatter" phenomenal.
Consider a manual and an automatic car. Here some body should not claim he knows to drive better than the other on the premise that he drives a manual car and the other drives an automatic car.
The issue is can you drive properly?
On the issue of web site developing or designing, to date there very cheep and user friendly tools one can always use to design websites. Whether he is a professional or not!
Indeed, when you consider such developments in technology, I should regard my self right to say that the ground now is levelled for all players whether you know any html codes or not.
Look out for tools to help you work smatter guys.

    Thanks.
    Ronnie.

Believe me there are all sorts of reasons why writing a site completely in flash may well be "working smatter" but is most definitely not "working smarter"

It's not a new thing at all - apparently there was a song that was top of the charts in the 70's?
    I'm told the lyrics were:

    What's s-matter you, hey!
    gotta no respect?
    oh, shut up yer face!

    Obviously ahead of it's time!
