Buying a domain in SEDO is it anonymous?

You have to sign up for SEDO and be verified before you can place a bid, but I have been trying to find out if your personal information is passed onto the seller when you make a bid or if you remain anonymous until the deal is done and payment & transfer is due?

I gather that in an auction this is the case, but I can't figure out if that is true when you are just making an offer.

It is anonymous when bidding, then your details are revealed if a bid is accepted.

thanks very much CHS that is good news, can someone else just please confirm this so I can go ahead and bid in confidence, I have contacted SEDO but no reply as yet and I am keen to get bidding.

Hi,

Just selling a domain myself today through Sedo and can confirm that the buyers details
are not revealed even after the bid is accepted. You pass the domain AUTH code (for .com's)
from your curent registrar to Sedo - they do the transfer and escrow the money (& pass you buyers details)
when complete. They will not reveal the buyers details prior to the transfer* - I have asked previously. Have sold a few
through them and had no hassles at all.

They do reveal the buyer, they have to, but only after money has changed hands.

I have bought via sedo, and had the other party's details after funds had exchanged and he had mine.
