What are the most important "extended" features of an affiliate network? Here's my list, in order of importance:

1. Second tier commission
2. Cookieless tracking
3. Widgets / content units
4. 24h support
5. Product feeds
6. Payout every 2 weeks
7. Ads rotation / optimization

Cookieless transactions is essential too, as affiliates are remunerated for a significant percentage of sales because the user has disabled cookies or some other cookie-related issue.

Your list of 'extended' features are well worth having, but I would prefer merchants and the networks got the basics right. I just wrote yesterday about a merchant who can't even do the ABCs correctly after having an affiliate program for half a decade.

I keep going to conferences and hearing the networks trying to dazzle the attendees with talk about Web 3.0 and Web 4.0 and mobile marketing, but the basics that I asked them implement five years ago and that they said they were keen on setting up have still not been implemented. And, if you look over at ABestWeb, you'll see a thread where most people agree that around 40% of their emails to Account Managers and Affiliate Managers are not responded to.
