  Re: UK postal Strike

Yesterday was god awful for sales. I'll be lucky to have made more than a fraction of my normal profits. Today... is worse. Traffic is still there, very, very few sales.

Not a great welcome home!

  Re: UK postal Strike

One of my biggest problems is that fact that I am totally dependent on Royal Mail for our UK deliveries. We despatch from Poland using international registered post. Unfortunately the polish postal service has no tracking facilities whatsoever, and Royal Mail can't/don't offer tracking on anything sent from abroad.

The fact that RM keep striking is another annoyance. We post notices on our website to advise customers of potential delays although I can't say I notice less orders on these days (sales fluctuate quite a lot normally anyway though).

At times like these I am very jealous of merchants in the US where it seems companies like DHL and UPS are so cheap to use that they are the norm....

Had a very weird day.
Justhom sales were definatley down by 60%
Deadgoodundies - Best day sales ever since we started.

Both sites have a notice on the home page about the strikes - so very weird day.

Spooky, I worked in RM for 12 years and always thought Parcel Force were part of them but they turned up on my door this morning with a parcel. Happy as fook.
