How much is spent online each year on computer software?

Hi all.

A quick question which I am struggling to find an answer for on the net. I am thinking of joining an affiliate network but need to find out the following so I can work out some simple equations:

Out of the many billions spent each year online, what percentage of this is on serious computer software (i.e. Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec). If anyone has any info or links relating to this matter it would be most useful.

PS - If you have the same info on different products such as electronics, jewellery, toys, etc that would be kinda useful too.

I'm not sure, but I would think that if you promote anything then it may be best if you promote software that is good, but is not readily available in the local shopping centers or on most sites.
