So far today its showing 40 page views and 23 direct entries, should increase with more content and when it gets nearer to Christmas.

Yeah, thats a bit of a problem!

Really I should have left it for a week then posted it for sale, that way it would have been accurate... I can hold the page for a week and we will see better then.

The page 'remote control cars' is for sale and has got 7 direct entries today and thats on page 2 of google, that link has not been posted anywhere for sale and i have not visited it today either.

If its just been indexed, how can it stay there?

usually pages which get indexed , drop without the proper content or backlinks

The page has just been indexed, the site itself ranks very high for most keywords in the google serps and I haven't yet seen a page which has lost its initial position (give or take a few placements) out of the 500+ pages we have sold.
