i have done my affilaite charity site using just the basic Google pages sofware.. all seems to work ok but to take it to the 'next level' i have been advised to get more serious and invest in some proper hosting. can any one make a good recomendation? or just to perhaps use the same as you use for domain registration?

also any thoughs on webbuild software... Dreamweaver?

I use Meirhosts, go for their reseller package as it's easier to add more sites further down the line, Meirhosting. It's only about £8 per month inc VAT for the basic reseller package. If you search this forum for "hosting" you'll probably find a few threads where suggestions have been made. Just make sure your host is in the UK, it's better for SEO.

Dreamweaver is good if you want to create templates and CSS etc. It is quite pricey for a new version but you may be able to pick up an older one on the cheap and then you can always upgrade later if you want.
I mostly just code using a text editor like Editplus for the day to day stuff, but then my sites also don't look as pro as other people's.
