Care to share them search terms ? lol. Nice one ..

    Do you mean me Kirsty?

    If so, no.

    However, I will explain "how".

    Very simple.

[1] Go to Woolworths (for example)

[2] Look at (for example) Woolworths reccomended Christmas toys.

[3]Pick a product that is stocked by at least 2 other suppliers. EG Amazon, John Lewis. Create a landing page with links to these suppliers. Also ensure you feature the other big named suppliers ESPECIALLY if they are "out of stock". (don't spend more than 15 minutes doing this).

[4] Log in to your google adwords account and create a campaign at no more than 2p pc. (don't spend more than 5 minutes doing this).

[5]Point the google ad at the landing page featuring links to the suppliers for that product

    [6] Go to bed.

[7] Wake up in the morning and throughout the day monitor your huge return on investment.

    [888] Repeat day-in-day-out..

This is the bit I don't get. Where do you find keywords that are going to be active at 2p per click for some of the most popular Christmas toys and therefore most popular keywords?

    Hi,

I just woke up this morning and found I hadn't been "google slapped". So just a normal day really.

Had I not written the post and was rather reading it. The last thing on my mind (especially for Newbie's) would the google slap. No, my first thought would be "wow" this is worth a deeper look.

The so called google slap is avoidable with about 30 seconds of work.

Google Slap is a load of crap - yet another excuse for peoples failures.

Google Slap - face, bothered, bothered, face? Hmmm slap of google avoid is easy.

This is the bit I don't get. Where do you find keywords that are going to be active at 2p per click for some of the most popular Christmas toys and therefore most popular keywords?

    mainlime

I get them from thinking about it. And then trying it. And then doing it.

The "toys" was just one example of how to cash in from peanut ppc (hmmm there's a domain in that somewhere) during Christmas. Gifts for parents is even better - loads of decent paying commissions on sh*t loads of products with 1p - 2p ppc just sat waiting...

Ok. My time is also quite valuable time-wise too aaclapham, in my professional capacity as a SEO wizard I normally charge upwards of 17p an hour.

For the record - I just checked my google keywords on the account I reffered to previously and the minimum bid has actually dropped since yesterday...

The 3p's to 2p and the 2p's to 1p... So I guess thats a "google pat" (on the back)...

Maybe tomorrow google will pay me for my clicks lol....

The way to avoid this so called "google slap" is so mind numbingly obvious it frightens me.

The point is it does, however, depend on a few factors:

[1] What sector you are promoting

[2]How you are doing it - generic across the board - "gifts for men"

    or specifics - "usb turntable."

[3]Are you linking directly to merchants or to a landing page/your own site.

If any "Newbies" are really having a problem with "google slap" drop me a PM and I will offer my experience.

Let me be clear. If you want my help I MAY need to know exactly what you are promoting and where. Therefore you will have to take a chance that I will not nick your ideas. I will not.

Like wise if your are a "newbie" and don't wish to give me that info - maybe I can help with some "rough idea" of how you are working.

Either way drop me a PM if "Google Slap" is causing you problems.

Who ya gonna call? Google Slap Busters...

    Affi...

I'll get my (slap google slap) jacket... red it is

I always knew you were just in it for the money!!
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

Thank you to everyone who has posted their thoughts and encouragement.

We took your advice Affi Liate and had that coffee and thought about Christmas which, I hear, is coming next month. We found a merchant that we know does very well at Christmas and allows direct to merchant PPC so have used that as our first attempt at some PPC affiliate marketing. Got immediately unstuck by some trademark problems which I don't fully understand! I'll make that a topic of a separate thread!

We have set up a blog using Blogger - not sure if that was a good idea or not but it is pretty quick and easy to setup. I wanted to add it to my blog section of my A4U profile but need the RSS feed - can't see how to do that on Blogger so need to look into that - can't be that hard!

    Anyway thanks again all!

    TTP

PS - oh yes - the blog (it is a bit lacking in content at the moment) is at TenThousandPounds Blog if you are interested
