It's good to see Mark is reading the forums. The "card image coming soon" has changed since yesterday.
I have a nice collection of screenshots from the last few weeks if anyone would like to see the evolution of copying a website.
The homepage has definitely been designed differently enough to get away with it. But his version of this page is a blatant copy. (same url - just subsitute wecompare)

I would have thought the guy had enough money now to do get some original design and copywriting done...
Networks should bring this to the attention of the merchants and refuse any affiliation. If they do it before the site starts making people any sales then merchants may be more willing to take the ethical stand on this.

Send the details off to the newspapers that seem to like featuring mvc so much. There's a section in the Daily Mirror that concentrate of business fraudsters that may take a look into this for you. Happy hunting
I feel for you. The guy is such a hypocrite. It was only a while ago he was crying on this forum and threatening legal action to someone who had a voucher code site that had some of the same features as his and had a domain name that was the same as his apart from two letters. Hmmmm, gocompare, wecompare ????
MVC is obviously the highest profile VC site and it's still breaking every rule that was defined by the networks and merchants. MVC continues to promote high profile merchants who were terminating their relationships with VC sites, these links still work from MVC, so no termination for them LOL
These threads are getting boring now, they should pull the plug, but they obviously wont... Unless of course we do a mass pertition and all threaten to stop doing AM unless they pull the plug :sneaky... hmmm nah...
To be fair, for a lot of people, making money from the net is a computer game that is detached from other people - so nobody in the chain of operations gets to see who has been shafted at their expense.
As for no action being taken.
Well there are loads of historical examples of moderate, peace-loving people in majorities who really want to do good, standing by while minorities gain power and eventually the majority find themselves behaving in a similar way.
Wow that sounds like you've been taken for a ride there.

Sounds like a good old fashioned British business person.
I used work for an engineering company who used to buy stolen drawings from their competitors.
@kevin101
I think if I'd been treated like that by a business partner I would have resorted to the trusty baseball bat and taken the consequences.
Sounds sh*tty.
Here's a list of VC sites that he's still adwords bidding on, or so it would appear:

Are you suggesting it's OK to bid on other affiliates brands? I didn't say it was illegal, just naughty. Not everything is black and white.

Yes I am suggesting that bidding on other affiliate brands is OK. As long as you don't pass yourself off as them or use their name in their ad copy its a legitimate way of advertising.
If someone is looking for a specific voucher code site, there is nothing wrong with putting your site up there as an alternative for them.
Goodbye everyone, I've retired from public forums. If you know it, you can reach me on my email address. Thanks.

Look at it from a user experience point of view. If I search for a specific brand, and someone else advertises on that name selling something similar, surely that is a positive thing from the users point of view. It gives them more choice. I would only have this opinion if it was done openly - ie not pretending to be the other site, using their name in your copy, etc.
