I'm trying something different - yet again )

Rather than my normal practice of looking through websites and picking out potential products, I'm instead attempting to use the product feeds that are provided.

I think it's important to clarify firstly that I am no programmer, so rather than trying to use a database I have instead created myself a lovely little Excel spreadsheet that takes the product name as a keyword ans amends the URL with a unique tracking id and product reference.

I then upload this to Google, and nothing happens

I think the problem is that the product name - which I'm using as a keyword is far too detailed, but I have no idea how to reduce or improve this?

Can anyone advise me on the strategies they use to achieve this sort of thing - I hope eventually to get to the stage of using a database, but since this is all one big learning curve for me I'm taking it slowly.
