Listen up Cheers,
This is potentially a very useful post
(strangely of late) that will probably
drift by all the Nancy Boys who are too
busy negativing this and dissin' that.
Precisely what you are talking about
has VALUE.
The PR do NOT always drop.
I'm not an expert in this (unlike Sex
and making money) but I have had
a dabble with one of my trusted friends
and allies on here.
I was BLOWN AWAY with the potential
(and funnily enough by some Latvian
checkout operator around the same time).
What we did notice is that Googlie
dropped the PR's shortly after we had
put content on a bunch we bought.
The point is the BENEFIT from the few
couple of weeks we had high PR links
(that is benefit to the sites LINKED TO)
was significant (**** I nearly had to ask
Confusedus how to spell that).
It's worth a dabble.
My guess is if you get them long enough
before googlie updates it's PR sh*t
(what ever that is) you can get GREAT
benefit from links from these high PR
sites to your other sites. All for
a fiver.
Another splendid reply by Affi about to
go over everyones heads.
I'll elaborate on this in some free article
sometime to all my Numpty friends,
hell we can even drop catch a few
for you guys! Good my list in'it!

When a domain *expires* the PR gets reset
Try snap names,
Watch out there is lots of scam software out there in this area promising the world but not delivering. At the end of the day nothing beats good old fashioned research.
good luck.
yea iv seen a few people say they kept the PR aswell.
anyone used DOMAINBROADCASTING ® | Expired Domain List | Deleted Domains | Pagerank ?
its a paid service but looks ok, thought i ask if anyone has used ot before and what they think before i go pay?
Sorry I was mistaken for domain age! Obviously the little green bar will still show the PR until the next update, which comes every quarter or so... But yeah in theory, the links are all still in place so it should stay the same. The domain age however, which is obviously a big factor gets reset.
If you catch them quick on the drop say you have alot more chance retaining PR then if there sat unresolved. A high % do retain that way, however your probs best going for OV w/ext if your after traffic.
I heard that the length of time PR remains intact is governed by the 'next' google-dance indexing and also might vary across datacenters. Some PR is derived by lots of backlinks and those which are driven that way, will probably lose out fastest as Google re-indexes the big backlink sites faster. It's only what I heard, so don't shoot the messenger!
we will soon find out, iv just backordered 5 domains that are pending deletion and will be back for registration in the next few days, each domain has a PR of 6 !
Also i have a new site coming soon which will tell you ALL the domains that are expiring in the next 5 days and also tell you the page rank and how many backlinks it has on Yahoo and other stuff. So keep an eye out you domain bargin hunters !
Good luck with that, remember what happened to deleting.co.uk ?
I think Nominet will have a problem with you, as well.![]()
