Importing RSS feeds into Wordpress?

I've noticed a lot of sites run RSS feeds, which I'd like to use if I can.

Is it possible to somehow import these into the content of my website. I'm using Wordpress. Do I need a particular tool or application?

You can either use RSS feeds to post entries (ie it posts each new feed entry as a different post), or you can put an RSS feed in a sidebar widget.

The first way I don't know how its done, as I've only ever managed to do it by accident. Have a look on the wordpress site.

The second way is easy, if your theme has sidebar widgets enabled. Use the 'RSS' one, put the url of the feed in, and hey presto.

My Affiliate Blog has the Firebox RSS running in the sidebar if you want to see what it looks like.

Any idea how to use a photo feed RSS to achieve something similar? I'm looking for something that would rotate through my Picasa/Flickr photos in the sidebar.
