New to Affiliate Marketing ? some very useful tips for you

Would it be too cliche to suggest to beginners that they should read the 'living daylights' out of this forum? It worked for me!

Only other tip I would add would be to view PPC as a useful element of affiliate marketing, not as some poor relation.
Run any and all PPC campaigns on a no win basis. I.e. Only spend what you're completely willing to lose.

My tip for this thread would be to not assume that everyone like you, and to experiment.

I`ve found things that I think look absolutely awful and would drive me away from a site, actually convert very well with a large percentage of the general public.

Great big buttons, with clashing garish colours for example. I think they look awful, but tried them after seeing them on another affiliates site who I knew was getting good results. And what do you know, conversions went up

So try different things, even if you think they may not work, you`ll be suprised what does...

(Also, and very importantly, keep logs of your progress. Keep backups of all your pages, and record the effect each had on sales. This will allow you to build a page with the best bits overall, and also just as importantly to roll back if one of your changes decreases sales. You`d be amazed at the number of people who try something, find it doesn't work, but can't remember exactly how things were to roll back )

Been watching it all day, and then when I finally do make the 1000th post I forgot. Still waiting for the confetti to come showering down from the heavens and the marching band , but hasn't happened yet
