Very strange WP problem

I've got a major wordpress issue i need help to resolve as all these years on wordpress it's either something so simple to change or i've forgot to do something so please forgive me.

I've done a fresh install of a blog and it can be reached fine via the http://*domain.co.uk however the http://www*.domain.co.uk goes to a 'error page not found' I've changed the domain blog url in options to http://*www.domain.co.uk (shuts down the whole website, i need to reinstall after this.)

So it only works without the www. but i need it to include the www. and 301 direct the http:// to the www.

Anyone any ideas?

I've tried editing the .htaccess no change.

I dont know what i did but it's fixed. Reinstalled everything and it worked.

Weird.
