We have just about finished a new project and we will be offering a service to help affiliates achieve good serps results. This is starting next week and will be offering a first come first served basis exclusively to A4U members before offering it to anyone else as there is only a limited number of spaces available.

Yes I noticed that. Congrats Frostie.
Actually this proves the point too - in part. Frostie's site is PR2 and the site in second place is PR5.
However, the PR5 site has 2,090 backlinks compared to Frostie's 162 ( Google info).

OK, so it's not PR (which I also have always agreed it's useless) and not backlinks according to this. So how?

Something is defo going on over the past few weeks, so far its all good changes so hopefully that will continue!
On the subject of anchor text, im ranked for a few top 5's by just the anchor text. The actual keyword doesnt feature on the webpage at all...!!!
Remember that Google does a PR update every 3 months. This one was 3 months to the day of the last one. The next one should be the last weekend in May.
