WP 2.5 errors
Hi,
Installed wordpress 2.5 the other day and been using it happily. Until today!
Seem to have a few errors cropping up and wondered if anyone had see nthe same / had a fix:
When writing a post the 'add an image' link at the top opens a screen that gives me "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: createaicode() in /.../public_html/wp-content/plugins/authimage/authimage.php on line 17"
I have authimage installed but not sure why it would conflict with the basic wordpress scripts?
Also in Manage > Media library i get this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_get_attachment_image() in /.../public_html/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 386
any help much appreciatedDan Morley

I`ve done a search for wp_get_attachment_link() and it's called in /wp-admin/edit-attachment-rows.php.
I`ve done a search through the files, and it should be in /wp-includes/post-template.php.
I`ve just test in my installation, and it does work fine. Make sure that the post-template.php file exists, and if it does that it has been upgraded. If you used an auto upgrade plugin, it's possible it slipped through the net.
I think your best bet is to delete the wp-includes directory and then reupload it.
I don't have the auth image plugin so can't help with that, apart from saying the missing function should be in the plugin code rather than wordpress. I wonder if your installation has gone wrong somehow, and you have missing files.

Hmm, not sure then I`m afraid as I can't replicate the error and everything works fine. Haven't had 2.5 long enough to have a good poke around yet.
If I see anything that I think is relevant, I`ll let you know.

Are you sure the folders are writeable?
Change them using chmod 777, to make them world writeable and then if that works you can lock them down a bit more after.

Askimet is about as good as it gets at present. But keep an eye out for Mollom as it develops. It is a new start up from the founder of Drupal. It looks like it will be the next generataion in fighting spam and moderating content.also getting stupid amounts of spam now if you know any good anti spam plugins?
In time, I am sure it will work on Wordpress and other platforms outside of Drupal. It is supposed to be platform independent.

Just a guess, are you using firefox on the mac?
Anyway there is a big issue with this - it appears to be connected with the flash plugin for the browser made by adobe not quite behaving itself according to published spec for how it should interact.
This then bumps into security restrictions on some servers.
There are various workarounds talked about, some involve lowering security in that area using a .htaccess file, others involve using the flash uploader for a previous version or the one used in a custom upload plugin.
Personally I'm just uploading from IE on XP and it's working fine.
[Haven't tried safari must do so.]
Anyway, do a web search - there are big problems in this area.
Methinks there might be a couple of different unrelated problems that sometimes coexist as different issues are reported. All seems to be the flash based uploader, not 2.5 itself.
[This info may be out of date as I've not looked into it for over a week now.]
