Anyone got any good resources for Seo friendly, css/xhtml templates which are free or paid.

Preferably web2.0 kind of design

In my opinion, there is no such thing
Once they are giving it out free, there will be a whole bunch of websites of different content bt same basic structure rolled out with the template

Some people will argue till they are blue in the face that this hurts your potential search engine rankings

Don't know about online as I usually create my own.

Do know that .Net magazine in the UK though gives a couple free on its cover CD each month, and it's not a bad read either.

That won't cause any issues. There are 1000's of websites using standard CMS template that rank well.

The number of instances that a given code appears on sites has zilch to do with rankings.

Quality of the code yes, occurance no.

there are some great templates over @ free css tempates all of which are standards compliant
