Relevant pages as niche backlinks

Hi All

In my mind this would work but always good to get peoples opinions

My list if niche sites is increasing but i have one keyword i would like to rank higher on asap so i was thinking of putting a page on some of my sites with a relevant article, title page etc

Even though the actual domain wont be about that keyword, would the page be relevant enough to give a good backlink?

Obviously it wont be as good as a whole site on that keyword, but is it worth doing?
