  Blogs on the front site

Find them very useful, but their is a user that has a lot of posts in the blog section show up daily, i did think that they must spend a hell of a lot of time writing stuff but know i have noticed they are just posting other peoples blog posts on their blog and linking to them.
so if you look on the blogs section Loquax has made a post then above that their is a post with the same title , well its the same post that has been copied.
to me this is of no use and is just making it harder to find the good blogs can this not be looked at?

I believe the blog section has been discussed by the powers that be. Personally I'd like to remove the irrelevant blogs.

Often there are posts that aren't related to AM but the blog itself is which will cause a problem.

Your issue may relate to the fact that someone may have written a post then taken it offline as they need to work on it then posted it again. The feed will publish them twice. I'm sure there's a way that posts with duplicate titles from the same user won't be included.

I'm sure your precise suggestion will be looked at.

No , loqaux had posted a subjet then the exact same post word for word from another user appeared above , the other user then links to loquax , their blog is almost like a collection of everybody elses posts (im not saying they make out they are their posts) , its just repeating what has already posted and gives no added value

Re: Blogs on the front site

I'm not sure how complicated this would be to set-up, but one solution would be to allow each person to de-select blogs that do not interest them. That way, in future, they will not see posts from those blogs.

It will hopefully encourage writing that is relevant and quality.

Azam that sounds like a good solution, I think the blog section is great but recently all these irrelevent blogs are making it harder to get through the noise.

It will be good to know what the a4u team are looking into, as I am sure it is already on their radar.

When I updated my blog yesterday it seemed to stay on the a4u blog page for about 5 minutes before disappearing - i thought it was just because my blog was very new.

Anyone know what would happen if someone moved their blog to a new url/server, moved all their old posts too, and then replaced their blog url on here?

I'm going to have to do this at some point soon and wouldn't want all my old posts to clog up the blog listings. On the other hand it's nice to have them listed, and at least they're all related to AM.
