Please can you tell me why if we want a successful affiliate programme would we not want people to know conversion rates, they are freely available for all our campaigns as we think it is important for affiliates to know what they can achieve if they promote merchants.

As i sure people are aware conversion rates can vary depending on many factors so isn't it good to provide some guide.

Please give me a reason why giving out this information is bad?

for affiliates information is key!!!!!!!

if a merchant has confidence in their business and offering they'll have no problem with giving conversion rates!

What are competitors going to do, backwards engineer the quality score to work out how much to bid based on their conversion rates?

Are they going to bid more to prevent the merchant selling more.

Helping affiliates will more than outweigh any potential downsides.

Giving information like this is what every merchant/agency should be doing to help them improve the amount and scope of sales!

Absolutely. A good conversion rate is crucial to a program's success.
