Find Voucher Codes methods - What are your thoughts?
Morning All
So I came in this morning to a notification of a new affiliate called findvouchercodes.co.uk.
I always like to take a look at the sites before we approve them and was shocked at the blatant cookie dropping on this site.
I clicked on Gul.com (A company I use to have dealings with) to have a page come up with the message:
We've got 1 current voucher code for GUL.com
Click Here To Show Codes + Open Site
We have checked all of our codes with GUL.com to ensure they are current and valid.
I click and I get:
GUL.com
Sorry, we do not currently have any voucher codes available for this store. Please check back at a later date.
CODE: NO CODES
There is currently no expiry date for this voucher code
We have been authorised by GUL.com to display this voucher code
I also get taken to Gul.com with a cookie dropping into my browser.
I rejected this guy on the basis that his cookie could rewrite other affiliates cookies who having spent time crafting content and niche sites.
In tough times we are all working harder to get that buck but to my mind blatant lying and screwing over your fellow affiliates is not the way forward.
What are other peoples thoughts on this from both the merchant and affiliate communities?
Am I being stupid rejecting him? Does he add value?

You're going to have to reject quite a few discount code sites then including MVC, who you probably may already have onboard albeit under a different name.

I like the "New Voucher Codes" page which has 16 out of 20 entries as "Sorry, we do not currently have any voucher codes available for this store. Please check back at a later date."
