    Dear All,

I am still new to this forum in the number of posts I have made. I asked for help at the beginning of the new year and had some very positive feedback form some members.

We run a betting system for Premier League football based on the most simple maths formula that wins money each season. We are now going into our 3rd year of live traded profit (and a further 7 back traded).

We have added affiliate software and joined clickbank - but my big problem is .... how do i recruit good affiliates who feel they can drive traffic to my site?

I spoke to a few of the "larger networks" and they were unable to help so I would really appreciate some good advice as we have an excellent proven (all documented) product and don't want to see all our work in putting affiliate software on the site go to waste.

The site is http:Simplex Trading Ltd

    Thanks
    richard

    Hiya simplexrichard

A site I have coming up in July will feature an office workers kick back and chill out area and this kind of feature is exactly the kind of offering I would want to present them with.

    Is it seasonal (England only)?

    Hi Markup,

yes it is seasonal and at the moment only the Premier League. We have documented proof showing profit for this league only going back 9 years in total.

I think it works in the Italian Serie A but need to 100% check as they had some league issues 2 seasons ago which may throw the figures out.

It sounds like it would be a good match and I would be interested in speaking further. Please message me or reply to this post if there is anything you need
    Thanks
    Richard

    Cheers Richard

If I can get the gambling aspect of the project to sit well with Merchants I am currently promoting, I will go with you on this if your commission structure makes sense.

    Speak soon,

Completely unrelated but Markup be very careful about the keyword stuffing on your homepage, it's only a matter of time before you get penalised.

    Hey Zinc

Just got up to go to work and noticed this...

...Dya know something mate, I've been around this forum for quite a while now and I often chip in if I think I can help (okay I come up with a lot of sh@t most of the time but I always mean well) and you are the only one who has chipped in with some well meant advice, even though my page warranted some serious and obvious criticism.

Thanks very much Zinc, the advice is appreciated. Just to let you know though mate, I wrote to google and MSN prior to putting the page up and laid out my ideas (they being that, although I realised I wasn’t giving much quality to the user in terms of what I was shouting about they did have the choice (by way of all the 120x60 links on the page) to go and shop at any of the retailers featured there. I explained that I wasn't bothered about the crap click through rate I was surely going to receive, I just wanted traffic to start flowing through the officejockey domain ahead of my launch in July.

They responded (both) to say they were completely happy with my intentions and off I went.

I didn't even have to tell them that every penny I earn from 12th May till I launch in July is going to charity - that would have been my follow up mail were it needed.

Actually, the real reason I wanted the page up early was to highlight the fact that I am willing to pay for the office party of small to medium businesses with a certain level of yearly budget to spend as long as they spend it through my links - and in that respect it has been an astounding success in the contacts I have made - the cheque I received for 626 quid off affiliate window yesterday morning is now winging its way to the qe cancer ward and to me (until I launch of course) is a complete irrelevance, and will remain so.
It was so good to get out of bed this morning and find someone is still out there willing to point a total stranger in the right direction – THANK YOU ZINC. I WILL KEEP MY EYE OUT FOR YOU AND IF I CAN OFFER YOU ANY WORTHWHILE ADVICE, PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT I WILL.

    Have a great day mate!!

On an aside, out of 5,300 keywords/phrases the majority of my clicks (65ish%) has come from one term “quality office supplies”, google are being reasonable with me on every single other term but I wonder if it is coincidence that they have upped my bid price for this NINE times in three weeks – ha ha, perhaps they are not the nice crowd I have (almost) portrayed them as above – I’ve ditched the term (at least until they get back to me) and am thinking of ditching them, have you got a view on that mate?
