I am very grateful to all merchants who provide us with discount codes and special offers, so thanks.

However...

Please can the codes and/or emails be checked properly before they are published or sent out!

I've lost count of the number of times codes have to be corrected.

As affiliates we are quickly jumped on if we should use out of date/incorrect/restricted codes, but we can only use the information supplied to us.


eg.
Codes just received from TD for Jessops (I'd contact TD myself, but :scared)

"Below are some of the offers that are currently running
5% OFF EVERYTHING JESSOPS5 is still available and offers 5% off everything..."

& 2 more codes (not tried)

Error message: Sorry, the voucher you have entered is no longer active.



"VOUCHER CODES: The voucher codes below are now live and updated for summer...
£100 - £299.99 £15 SUMMER15 30/09/2008..."

& 4 more codes (not tried!)


Error message: Save £15 - orders between £150 - £299.99


These are by no means isolated.

Please help us to help you!

Whilst your codes are special to us all, we cannot check every single one and we have to trust that the information supplied to us is correct. Those that slip through the net are making us and you look stupid.

I agree you think they would check before they send them out, if they get published on popular high traffic voucher sites then there losing customers since many will abandon the cart if a voucher code dosn't work.

I always setup my codes first and copy and paste direct from the system to avoid any spelling errors.

I agree with your point about voucher code accuracy, Comet are the worst for messing about with the codes. The Jessops codes are working fine for me though? Were you trying them on DSLR's as they are excluded.

The codes mentioned above are working now (great) with the same items I tried them on originally (I tried it on a few things - not cameras).

The point of the second code (SUMMER15) was to show that the value was wrong - it's actually sales from £150, not £100.

Anyway, this wasn't meant to be a dig particuarly at TD or Jessops - there are plenty of others and it happens far too often.
