While it's great that Ben's career moves in the direction he has chosen, I don't think it's relevant to congratulate this. The reason Ben was appointed to the AMC was partly due to his neutrality, and of course his experience in dig marketing, bringing external knowledge in, ability to get things done, reputation, etc.
His joining TD doesn't do anything for moving the AMC role on, IMO, but hopefully he'll prove us wrong.
In the meantime shouldn't we (sorry the AMC) be looking for someone new and independent or am I missing something?
Separately I wish Ben every success in his new role
I really like Ben, he's done a superb job at the IAB and I don't see any conflict - I'd echo the comments that Tradedoubler have made an excellent appointment.

I agree with Dunc and Matt (!) Ben has been a great asset to the AMC and I don't see any conflict. I hope he takes the more positive comments on board and doesn't feel he should step down as chair, he's done an excellent job so far. As Matt says it would be good to see more people, especially affiliates in attendance at the meetings.
