hi all
I had 3 of my sites drop quite a bit over the last few days, one of which went from 33 for a keyword to 150
then i realised i had links on the links pages linking to some old sites id got rid off so were invalid
has anyone else had experience of this? it makes sense but didnt realise it would effect it that much, live and learn
Rob

There has been a lot of movement in the serps of late with some odd results. As mentioned elsewhere, some really dodgy sites are doing quite well while some good sites are suffering.
It's probably just a temporary issue, although having dead links on your site would indicate a lack of maintenance which will always be detrimental in terms of search results.
You're sure the sites were dead? Just about every .com, .org and .net that drops is grabbed by the tasters so you may have been linking out to a bad neighbourhood. That definitely COULD cause a drop, Google do warn against this.
