Has anyone managed to show affiliate ads or widgets on corporate intranet sites? Or it is a case of corporate intranets signing up to affiliate programmes so they can show merchant ads on their sites?
If so, please could you let me know examples or where I could find out more about this?
A few corporate Intranets that I've seen have links to corporate staff discount sites. These were basically just affiliate sites that offered staff exclusive discount codes.
I heard a story that a bank in Edinburgh had a realy good intranet site run by some dude in their IT helpdesk. Folk never realised that the site was full of affiliate links and he was making a fortune out if it.
If Intranet sites do have affiliate links on them I'd expect them to have been placed by somebody in the know rather than a corporate decision.

I used to run a corporate Intranet many years ago and that thought did cross my mind . Back then hardly anybody knew what affiliate marketing was and a site full of affiliate links could have easily slipped under the radar.
Intranet sites have come on a long way since then.
With the number of firewalls and other intercept / monitoring software that most businesses now run I would expect it to be a very insecure intranet that was currently able to display affiliate links.
