I'm well chuffed. One of my small niche sites: Ponies for Sale - Horses for Sale - Equestrian Classifieds has made it to number one on yahoo for a worldwide search term: 'pony for sale'
Now to move it up on google!!

I remember when I got number 1 from 750,000,000 on a huge keyword, it always represents a nice little stat on the side of the Harrier cockpit.

The trick is also to stay there, I have a number 1 results for a playstation related long tail search but now dropped off and trying to find out how to get it back, do have a couple of number 1 terms and its a great feeling

Well done, and keep at google it is more than possible, just takes longer with google i found!

I have one site with minimal backlinks, and not even a great deal of content (altho the content is good) that is #1 on google + #1 and #4 in yahoo for the main search terms! Proves you dont need masses of backlinks for good results
